The true story, in an original screenplay by John Kuri, of a now one hundred year old woman who, during WWII was imprisoned by the Japanese in Dutch Indonesia with her then six-year-old daughter. This is a story of triumph over unthinkable adversity: a tale of young love, with both its beauty and tragedy, dreams and deceptions.

Mostly, this story is a portrait of one extraordinary and courageous woman who dealt with life's coarsest realities. She never lost vision of her purpose as a mother while turning grave misfortune into victory.

The project will attract a major name to play the lead role of Nettie Aalbertsberg.
